Silverwoods Resort, which includes the multi-award winning The Sebel Yarrawonga and Black Bull Golf Course proudly announces the appointment of their new General Manager, Andrew Freak.

Andrew brings tremendous strategic and operational experience in hospitality from all around Australia and New Zealand.  His career spans many years across Hotel, Resort and Leisure industries, particularly under the luxury umbrellas of both Accor and Mantra chains.  Signature places like Peppers Bluewater Resort,  Lake Tekapo (NZ), Peppers Clearwater Resort, Christchurch (NZ), and Outback Pioneer Hotel and Lodge at Yulara located near one of Australia’s most iconic tourist attractions – Uluru, to name just a few.

Since opening in November 2020, the Accor-branded Sebel Yarrawonga (located in the heart of the Silverwoods Resort), has been an absolute game-changer for the local and wider Murray River region.  Silverwoods Resort was recently honoured by winning the Masterplanned Development Award and Judges Award for Regional Victoria Development at the UDIA Victoria 2022 Awards for Excellence.  Silverwoods is eligible for the UDIA National Awards in the same categories, to be announced this March at Crown Perth.  With the engagement of Andrew as the new General Manager, it is another thing to celebrate and an exciting chapter for Silverwoods Resort taking it into the future.
